It is high time for me to write an #introduction ! I am Baplar, been around all over the Interent under that name for decades. Self-proclaimed ambassador of the #VR platform #Resonite , I am also a bona fide Mentor there, and I host a weekly meetup for the #Linux users of the platform. I am a virtual reality enthusiast #VR , and a video game enthusiast more generally. My backlog keeps filling up, but I’m trying to whittle it down bit by bit! I also follow closely the Free and Open Source world #FOSS . Libre is a passion and a hobby for me, but it’s neither my calling nor my carreer. I also regularly play #Riichi #Mahjong , with my little skill level. Find me online on MajSoul or in #Toulouse at the Sou-Long club! I follow the flow, I don’t have any particular notoriety. I’m here for posting about Resonite, keeping in touch with Fediverse news, and staying in contact with my friends.

Gestern beim Netzpolitischen Abend in Wien gab es einen Vortrag über die Umstellung vom Bundesheer auf @libreoffice@fosstodon.org. Ich hab gefragt, wie das finanziell ausschaut. Trotz, dass sie 7-8 Leute dafür beschäftigen, und für die initiale Umstellung auch Geld in die Hand nehmen mussten, haben sie jetzt schon gespart und die nächsten Jahre wird das nur noch mehr werden. Also erzählt das gerne weiter! Wenn ihr Leute nicht mit Unabhängigkeit als Argument erreichen könnt, dann vielleicht damit. Think about online banking systems. This constantly changing password is generated by an app that you install on your smartphone or tablet. The technical term is Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP). Activation This feature requires that you first install an app on your smartphone or tablet. @dansup@mastodon.social @ManInTheGreenShirt@mastodon.social it's now late night for me, & i've just come back to pooter after dinner & a movie... but i kept thinking about your project, & how it exemplifies the sheer beauty of #FOSS. you made it for you, were unsure if anyone else would be interested, released it just in case, & found that why yes in fact, others DO really like it & use it... & if similar to me, have been blown away with how good it is. but that's only the start, coz i kept bothering you, asking for this & that & the other, all coz the changes would make it better for my own UX, & expecting almost with each "request post" i wrote that any moment now your patience would finally run out with me & you'd tell me to go away... but you didn't, & you have been unceasingly helpful... & now your project has grown more & is even nicer... all from peeps working together around the world just for the pursuit of ideas & capability. i really think it's a beautiful paradigm! 💜

Hi everyone! This is my first post here in the Fediverse. Most of what I am and I do is already covered in my Bio, so I'll keep this short: I'm a FOSS developer and very often I'm into low level, reverse engineering and retrocomputing stuff. Since 2017, I've been working on my own disassembler engine written in C to challenge myself and learn what it's like to build reverse engineering tools instead of just using them.
