My Grafana dashboard for monitoring my self hosted cluster.
I made a Grafana Master-dashboard to monitor my Kubernetes cluster.
Features:
Health bar at the top, that will turn amber or red when things go wrong, and send push notifications to my phone
CPU, Memory and Network utilization
Database and Storage backup statuses
I also added CPU/Memory usage request monitoring so that I can tune how much CPU/Memory a pod requests in the cluster.
And active alerts
I’ve muted these two, I need to add a 3rd node with more CPU and ram, currently if one node goes down there isn’t enough redundancy for the cluster to just keep working.

🇺🇦So now I need to move my #homelab. And I have two options:
- Migrate #Mastodon reverse proxy from #nginx to #caddy (no documentation on this around the internet except uncertain assumptions).
- Pay x4 for the internet for a business plan, where I’ll be able to rent more than one static IP.

Ich hatte den Fall, dass ich die Wunschliste / Mitbringliste nur noch "halboffen" haben wollte. Prinzipiell ist die Liste ja vollständig geöffnet. Jede Instanz kann von allen genutzt werden. Jeder kann Wunschlisten eröffnen. Das ist aber nicht immer gewünscht. Z.B. wenn ein Verein eine solche Liste nur selbst betreiben will. This is funny, because Google is known to be very rigorous with self hosted mail servers that are often blocked or rejected for, at times, weird reasons. I would expect them to be able to shut down the spammers that use their infrastructure :)

Mail server stats: 299 connection requests from IP addresses in the bc.googleusercontent.com range in the past 72 hours, 100% of them trying to dump spam/phishing mails, claiming to be from microsoft.com, ubuntu.com, GitHub.com and many more. Google should take note (but it will ignore this, as it has always done).

Had a little bumpy on the personal server this AM; it was throwing out 500 errors all over the place. Suspected cause: memory overflow. I’ve upped the memory allocation from 4 to 8GB. Let’s see how that goes…
