Built a primitive TOTP generator with Python and an Arduino Uno. It generates a code given the current time and a seed value, and displays said code on an LCD screen on the Arduino. It's been confirmed to work with a basic CLI-based login script, but I wonder how I can expand it to be more useful, because at this stage, it's little more than an extended display. The code and circuit diagram are available here: https://github.com/Tori-Tech/Arduino-TOTP-Generator #arduino #python #programming #projects #homelab #totp #infosec #cybersecurity

Today I'm starting https://noailist.org/ With the reasoning over at https://noailist.org/why-no-ai/ A list of projects that have chosen not to use AI moving forward. Submissions are open and are welcome for anyone and any project that states they will not be using AI on their project/tech/website/art/music/game/etc (within reason). #noai #antiai #tech #technology #projects #art #music #websites #gamedev #mastoart

Ideas for things to work on live during weekend streams? (Specifically working on MAKING these things during a stream.)

  • Tic-80 cookbook: Small videos showing how to implement one feature at a time.

  • OOP C++ shorts - I've made videos on C++ concepts in under 3 minutes for my first level C++ course, now for the OOP course?

  • C++ Text Adventure creator: An editor to set up rooms, items, etc. but totally CLI.

  • Make open source version of 90s Math Blaster.

I know I said a couple of days ago I was staying off the "Internet" and I have succeeded, but in my mind #Mastodon is not the Internet, far from it. It is my safe/happy place. So I am still here. And here is today's #GoodNews from the casa: Old spark arrestor screen on my wood stove chimney pipe was rotted and clogged. Could not find a suitable replacement, so I bought $6 worth of bulk screen and made my own. Fits WAY better than previous screen. #Homeownership #Projects #NewOneEveryDay
