Today I got my official diagnosis. Asperger's syndrome, at 31. My feelings about it are mixed. For years I was sure this was not about me, that I was just tired, or difficult, or not trying hard enough. Then about a year ago I hit an autistic burnout, the kind where you cannot pretend anymore, and I started digging into myself for real. Now there is a piece of paper that says what I had slowly started to suspect. Part of me feels relief, because so many things finally make sense. Another part of me keeps rereading my whole past with this new filter, and that part is not so calm. PLEASE BOOST FOR ME! It's spring in my corner of the world, and warming up quickly in the rush to summer. I rent my home, and while I have a portable air conditioner in the bedroom, in the high Aussie heat of summer of over 40C/104F, it's still far too hot in the rest of the house, and makes my disabilities and chronic illness worse. I have no aircon or fans in the rest of my tiny apartment, and with my disabilities and chronic illness, I could really use a fan this year, so I'm not shut in the bedroom constantly. I really need a 40cm, metal blade fan for it to be effective along with my usual cooling towel, cooling mat etc. I live under the poverty line, so this is out of reach for me. If you could help make it possible for me to get the fan I need, and help make spring and summer more bearable with disability and chronic health issues, it would be much appreciated.
