"FCC Chairman Brendan Carr announced in February the agency was investigating whether #TheView violated the equal time rule, a regulation that requires broadcast programs to give equal airtime to opposing candidates if they permit a candidate for public office to appear on public airwaves. Since then, the ABC talk show hasn’t featured a single political candidate running in a competitive midterm race": https://www.semafor.com/article/07/05/2026/the-view-throttles-back-political-candidate-bookings-following-fcc-inquiry#InformationSuppression #intimidation #politics

RE: https://mastodon.social/@RonSupportsYou/116875325311285649 Donald Trump wants the only sources of information to be right wing sources. A billionaire friend bought and politically warped #CBSnews and plans to do this to #CNN. #TheView changed its political coverage. Stephen Colbert is off the air and Trump tried to get Jimmy Kimmel off the air. Some people are attacking #Substack, which is both a source of excellent news and a wide variety of opinion. Even Wikipedia is under attack. #DefendGoodSourcesOfNews copy: @renewedresistance@channel.org #politics
