Looking for #disabled people who want a friendship and someone who doesn't mind me popping into their DMs regularly. In terms of #disabilities, I have juvenile #lupus and kidney failure which is a result of it. I also have #LongCovid, #diabetes, #cerebralpalsy, #AuDHD, #osteoporosis, and a slew of #mentalhealth diagnoses. I use oxygen, 24/7 oxygen user due to Long Covid as well as a full time wheelchair user. A boost would mean alot. #introduction #newhere

Eye problems after COVID-19 can now be explained

Mild COVID-19 can cause severe and long-lasting eye problems, according to a study from Linköping University, Sweden. The study also explains why it has been difficult for sufferers to get help: the abnormal eye behaviour cannot be detected by standard methods. The researchers have developed a diagnostic model to detect COVID-related eye problems.

Zo, dat was de laatste belafspraak met het #LongCovid expertisecentrum. Geen behandelopties meer, situatie stabiel. Ze maken overdracht voor/naar de huisarts en dan gaat mijn dossier in het archief. In kleine 2 jaar met 5 medicijnen geëxperimenteerd en 3 niet medicamenteuze dingen. 2 'missers' (compressiepanty klasse 3 en LDA) maar de rest blijft. Iets betere kwaliteit van leven, helaas geen noemenswaardige functionele vooruitgang, maar ik ben allang blij hiermee als ik lotgenotenverhalen lees

The study used existing genetic data and 3D genome analysis rather than collecting new patient samples. This shared “unifying theory” could lead to common diagnostic blood tests and therapies that target the underlying fatigue pathways across all these conditions.
