“A TTC streetcar *looks* big, but its total space footprint in traffic replaces just 5 stopped cars or ~2 moving ones. A street car can be nearly empty and still be more efficient than cars.”

Almost 9 km of TTC subway will shut down for this entire weekend
TTC subway closures this weekend will grind an almost nine-kilometre stretch of Line 1 to a halt, as the transit agency resumes the regular planned disruptions that were mercifully paused in June and July to paint a pretty picture for tourists during Toronto's hosting role in the FIFA World Cup.The TTC has announced that there will be no service on the Line...
Remember back in December when that runner beat the new Line 6 LRT? This time Line 6 won.

The next bus departure board at Ossington subway station has a vertical polar filter, presumably as an accidental side-effect of mounting a commodity display at right-angles.
The upshot is that in polarized sunglasses, you need to tilt your head about 45° to read it at all.
Fortunately, you can save yourself the bother, because the times disagree with both the led signs on the platforms and with reality (the buses themselves).
