That's now the last butterfly from my #hike in #Piedmont I was amazed at how many different kinds of butterflies I saw and was able to photograph. This beauty, however, sat down on my cell phone after the first photo, which made it difficult to take a few other pictures. Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention to the shape of the wings. But, whatever. I still think the butterfly is beautiful. #sketch#sketchbook#watercolor#butterfly

last week I hiked The Bear Trail (Karhunkierros) in Finland. It's 82kms of hugely varied terrain starting inside the Arctic circle in Lapland (if you go north to south) and ending in Ruka village in Kuusamo, a cute little ski town. We did it in 4 days which was a push and made the days very long and tiring. The back country of Finland is what I imagine an outdoor IKEA series to be...highly curated and very Skandi. but it was cool to see another country through the hiker trash lens #hikertrash #hiking #nature #Finland #europe #hike
