While we were all certainly hoping for a massive blue wave followed by a peaceful transition, we were ready for anything. Some of the language was designed to avoid censorship, hence the talk of "party" to mean "resistance to forceful overthrow of the election."
We were all ready to go lay down our lives to defend the result, which has surely played a role in the regime's acquiescence to reality.
